Caroma has launched an all-in-one toilet, hand basin and tapware system designed to lower total bathroom water usage. The Caroma Profile Toilet Suite with Integrated Hand Basin is the first toilet suite in Australia to achieve a 5-star WELS rating by using the same water twice, firstly for hand washing and then for toilet flushing. The product also features a dual-flush push button and spout arrangement that saves the water normally used when hands are washed in a separate basin.
The flush cycle activation controls the flow of fresh water through the basin spout, allowing time for thorough hand washing before the same water fills the cistern tank. The Caroma Profile functions like a regular toilet suite. It requires no additional installation requirements beyond that of a regular toilet suite and is suitable for new and existing installations.
Caroma Dorf has also launched a new sustainability brand — Caroma Dorf Eco Logical Solutions. With a product portfolio including toilet suites, urinals, tapware and showers, it is working with government bodies, water authorities, plumbing organisations and the building industry to develop solutions designed to save water through retrofitting initiatives.
At the same time, it has re-launched its Smartflush range of toilet suites and its Dorf Smart range of tapware. The Smartflush technology has been developed over a decade and uses only 4.5 litres of water for a full flush and 3.0 litres for a half flush.
