Wholesale housing builder A.M. Direct Homes will extend its portfolio to South-East Queensland following success serving Gladstone’s resources-driven market.

The launch of A.M. Direct Homes in the State's corner signals a homecoming for veteran Gold Coast builder and company Managing Director, Grant Fielder.

Mr Fielder sold his Gold Coast Adenbrook Homes franchise in May 2011 to achieve his long-held vision to deliver quality, affordable homes which reflect his unique style developed during a 25-year building career.

Mr Fielder said he was excited to return the South-East where, combined with ongoing Gladstone operations, the company aimed to deliver 120 homes annually.

Mr Fielder said the boutique company’s vision had appealed to superannuation funds seeking stable investment returns.

In the space of 12 months, A.M. Direct Homes has delivered an array of detached and attached housing options on compact blocks around Gladstone. They have constructed homes for super funds in communities established by premium developers including Peet Ltd, VillaWorld Ltd, Walker Corporation and Citimark Properties.

“The mining industry has been around for decades and will be around for many more. The Queensland Government has recognised the economic potential of Gladstone and we will see considerable private investment continue well in to the future.

“South-East Queensland has its lifestyle allure and the population growth and limit of available land means there’s plenty of investment potential left in the growth corridors of the Gold Coast and Brisbane markets.
