Clonbinane resident Jacqui will this week collect the keys to her new home, seven months after the Black Saturday bushfires engulfed her old one.

The ruins of her old home were cleared from the site, and a new section of concrete was laid onto the existing slab in May, before building started in mid-June.

Rapid Building Systems worked with Jacqui to provide the walls to erect the new home at no charge.

"The company learnt of Jacqui's plight and because a Rapidwall home is fire rated we wanted to help her to get back on her feet quickly," says managing director of Rapid Building Systems, Peter Zwaans.

The keys will officially be handed over on August 12 at 10.30am.
