The national ASICS headquarters opened at Eastern Creek, Sydney, features new environmental graphics by design agency ‘There’.
The agency collaborated with WatermarkArchitecture and Interiors to create an immersive brand experience at the new warehousespace.
The custom graphics were created by drawing on themes of movement andtechnology. The bold and integrated graphics are designed to stimulate brandengagement, while simultaneously boosting staff morale.
The facility featuring a gym, Japanese garden and VIP luxury lounge, covers 2500sqm. The concept office, one of the biggest in Asia, offers its workers a mini football field, 30m running track, table tenniscourt, games room and five themed meeting rooms.
The graphics were designed to highlight thecompany’s dual focus on movement and technology. Brightly coloured graphics nowwrap across identification signage, cover privacy glazing, feature on walls, screens and floors as well as occupying a 30m long custom-built light box.
An Olympic quality running track has also been installed by Watermark. Meetingrooms have been screened with graphics of LED data displays, times, scores plusvisuals drawn from a wide range of ASICS sports vocabulary.
There’s director Simon Hancock describes ASICS as a dream project. “We were really excited to work with one of the world’s premier technical sports shoe and equipment companies and to collaborate with Watermark once again on their interior vision. We wanted to strongly convey the ASICS brand philosophy and express the ingenuity of their footwear with the graphic layer,” he says.
