Entries are open for the 2017 Think Brick Awards.
Now in its 11th year, the awards celebrate excellence in the use of clay brick, concrete masonry and roof tiles by Australian architects and designers.
“Each year we get an increasing number of entries as more architects push the design boundaries in their use of clay bricks, concrete masonry and roof tiles,” says Elizabeth McIntyre, Think Brick Australia CEO.
“We believe the versatility and creativity with which [these materials] are designed with should be given a celebrated platform. The Think Brick Awards seek to do this by championing the innovative architects who are finding exciting and sustainable ways to use these materials.”
The 2017 categories include the Horbury Hunt Commercial Award, the Horbury Hunt Residential Award, the Kevin Borland Masonry Award, the Bruce Mackenzie Landscape Award, and the Robin Dods Terracotta Roof Award.
The deadline for entries is 28 April, 2017 with winners announced at a gala dinner in August.
