Over 550 trade members across the Home Trade and Thrifty-Link Trade groups, suppliers and Danks Group staff gathered in Adelaide Convention Centre for the Danks Trade Show and Conference - Building for our Future.
Trade retailers and key trade suppliers discussed the future trends of the industry, with particular focus to the role the building industry will play towards sustainability.
Speakers from key trade suppliers and associations gave insights into the opportunities and challenges facing the trade industry, including:
• Robert Caulfield from James Hardie on Green Building and Fire Rating
• Greg Thomas from Boral Plasterboard on Environmental Construction
• Sandy McKay from Fletcher Insulation on the implications of the carbon footprint on a trade business
• Lew Short from NSW fire service with an update on the Building Code fire regulations
The conference culminated in the awards dinner, with awards presented to suppliers and Danks members recognised for theircontribution to the trade business. Awards winners include:
