How much are you worth as a designer?
The Design Institute of Australia is currently carrying out a survey about current fee and salary information, which will contribute to a guide to fees and salaries for the various design professions across Australia.
Respondents can reply to the survey as either individuals or employers, who will be asked to supply a range of data relevant to their design business.
According to general manager of the DIA Phillippa Rowland, more responses will ensure that the design sector has an accurate source of benchmarking information.
Everyone who fills out the 2013 Fees and Salary Survey, and returns it by 15 December 2013 will receive a comprehensive analysis of the results. Participants do not have to be a DIA member.
The results are issued as a DIA Fees & Salary Practice Note. The data is collated to show ranges of salaries and charge out rates for each of the disciplines responding. The average, as well as the recorded highest and lowest figures surveyed will be published.
