International design and architectural practice, Built by Associative Data (BAD) has collaborated with Lebanese landscape design studio,Green Studios to create a unique and dynamic green art installation for building facades.
The Kinetic Green Canvas is a prototype wall installation featuring individual modules, each of which comprises of a cube made from steel framework, back panelling, L-shaped jambs, secondary structure, waterproofing board, a motor and water pipe attachment to circulate water, and hydroponically grown plants with a different shade of green on each face of the cube.
When stacked together, the cube modules can create changeable ‘pixel’ art, each unit acting as an independently controlled pixel and the whole system transforming into a dynamic living green canvas.
