A Fishermans Bend site in Melbourne complete with approval for a 940 apartment project has been put up for sale by developer Paul Little.
Designed by Elenberg Fraser, 85 Lorimer Street was approved by Planning Minister Richard Wynne back in July 2015 but no work has begun on the project.
It consists of two towers of 47 and 49 storeys with a shared podium, an end result from a tenuous development application process which saw the project drastically altered from its original plan as a single 74-storey tower.
The site is now being marketed by Colliers International who says the campaign is highly anticipated given the scale of the development, ability to stage the project, no-risk planning framework and prime residential location.
The site includes space allocated for a tramline and public area, meaning purchasers will not have to pay an estimated $20 million in infrastructure contributions expected of developments in the area.
It is located at the entry of the Lorimer section of the Fishermans Bend zone, not far from both the Yarra River and Mirvac's Yarra's Edge development.
