A number of top Australian building products companies will be at DesignEx 2013 to launch their latest technologies, in Melbourne from May 30 to June 1.

Among the new releases, ESD Solutions will launch the Recoh Heat Recovery System which can reclaim up to 60 per cent of the heat from grey water that would normally be lost. They will also launch EnerLogic Window Films, a glass insulation coating transforming poorly insulated windows into highly energy efficient windows.

After a 40 year hiatus, Windows of the World will be relaunching Crittal Steel Windows to the Australian market.

Meanwhile, Tasman will be exhibiting the latest technologies in 3D Printing, Bristile will launch its new La Escandella Collection clay roof tiles, Braille Tactile Signs will launch new custom standard signs, among many other new releases.

One of the highlights will be Unitised Building’s innovative alternative to traditional construction of medium and high-rise buildings, the modular construction system allowing the manufacturing of transportable units off-site while on-site works progress.

UB recently delivered a seven storey project comprising 57 prefabricated apartments in Richmond, Victoria. The units were completely finished in a factory and installed onsite in 10 days.
