A host of Australia’s greenest new building projects and innovations have been named finalists in the 2012 BPN Sustainability Awards.

Click here to view the all of the finalists across categories including Small Commercial, Large Commercial, Office Fitout, Single Dwelling (New), Single Dwelling (Alterations & Additions), Landscape Design, Innovation of the Year, Multi Density Residential and Public Building & Urban Design.

Now in its sixth year, the Awards recognises the pinnacle of sustainable building practice in Australia.

An initiative begun by A&D's sister publication Building Products News (BPN) Magazine, a respected industry journal since 1967, interest in the awards has continued to grow each year, along with recognition of the significance of good building design to the environment.

Chosen by a prestigious group of judges, the winners will be announced at a gala dinner in Sydney on 8 November with the results published in the December edition of the magazine.

1 Bligh Street in Sydney by Architectus + Ingenhoven Architects is a finalist in Large Commercial.

The Awards are made possible with the support of sponsors: James Hardie Scyon, Australian Forestry Standard, Stormtech, ITI Design Pine, Wood Solutions, BlueScope Steel, Atlantis and with the support of National Precast Concrete Association of Australia.

The event is being held in association with the inaugural Australian Sustainability Conference & Exhibition, a new and innovative event dedicated to the sustainable future of today’s Australian businesses.
