Sydney-based branding design consultancy ‘There’ has been awarded by the Society of Environmental Graphic Designers for the office graphics scheme created for sports brand Asics.

The international SEGD International Design Awards, highlight the best in branded environments design and this year received a total of 452 entries from around the globe from which 28 projects were singled out for recognition.

The judges commented: “What captured our attention with this project was not simply the use of large imagery, but the successful layering of information that, together with the imagery, made this a meaningful composition appropriate for an athletic company headquarters. It goes beyond the expected.

They added, "Harmonious integration of colour, type, imagery, form, and space. A well-balanced creation of a dynamic and stimulating environment.”

The facility featuring a gym, Japanese garden and VIP luxury lounge, covers 2500 square metres. The concept office, one of the biggest in Asia, also offers its workers a mini football field, 30m running track, table tennis court, games room and five themed meeting rooms.

THERE's graphic concept sort to highlight the company’s dual focus of movement and technology. Brightly coloured graphics now wrap across innovative identification signage, cover privacy glazing, feature on walls, screens and floors as well as occupying a 30m long custom-built lightbox.
