Dockland Homes and All Australian Architecture have launched the Clover Home - one of the first home designs with an 8 star thermal performance rating.
The Clover Home will help home owners reduce power bills by up to 60 per cent by maximising energy efficiency through passive and solar design.
The home has a 'H' shaped 38 sqm floorplan. It takes into consideration orientation, cross ventilation and appropriate eaves without compromising on style and spacious open plan living.
The Clover Home design can be mirrored or flipped to capture a better orientation and adapted to suit sites of various grades and location.
All variations share the same features, including:
- minimal need for supplementary heating and cooling
- long-term energy cost savings
- reduced green house gas emissions
The Clover Home can adapt to various lifestyles by offering multiple design options.
The Clover Home has been independently assessed by approved thermal efficiency assessors, Efficient Living. It considered all possible orientations and two different climate zones of Sydney in its assessment.
