Hettich, the German manufacturer of high quality cabinetry has also begun a partnership with Coco Republic Design School that will expose designers ‘to the latest in über-cool designer hardware’.

Hettich, one of the world's largest producers of cabinet hardware and fittings for residential and commercial building, will lead a series of 'RenovationFix' workshops focusing on how a designer or home renovator can readily transform everyday rooms into harmonious living spaces that exude understated sophistication and style.

"Workshop attendees soon discover the most impressive element of any new build or renovation is often reflected in the overall level of attention to detail - like how to resolve issues with cabinetry lighting, hinges and drawers and storeage solutions.

Hettich Marketing Manager, Dave Angus, said: "We'll be revealing to participants how easy it now is to make kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms and living rooms work beautifully simply by lifting the experience encountered in the home to the truly exceptional - and for every renovation thereafter - how they can keep across all the latest trends by visiting Hettich Endorsed Showrooms," he explains.

In 2011/12 Australians will spend in the vicinity of $35 billion on home renovations - $7.2 billion of it in the kitchen according to HIA data.

“The value of investment and the standard of improvements consumers are making to their homes is again on the rise with a forecast increase of 5.2 per cent to spending on kitchens this year. With that growth there’s also demand for the latest knowledge and best design know-how — and Fisher & Paykel is delighted to have been asked to assist,” says Fisher & Paykel National Marketing Manager, Peter Russell.

The creators of kitchen appliance innovations as the sleek Izona range of cook surfaces and ovens, and the DishDrawers and CoolDrawers, Fisher & Paykel will familiarise students with the new design freedoms the products now make possible.
