The Beijing Incubation Centre project was recently completed by Moore+Cashell.Multi-disciplinary architecture and design practice, GroupGSA has announced two mergers with Moore+Cashell Australia and John Holland Landscape Architects, expanding its service offering in life sciences, health + technology and landscape architecture.

GroupGSA’s managing director Mark Sheldon said the recent mergers were part of a broader long-term strategy for the company to expand and diversify skill specialisations.

Moore+Cashell Australia, founded by architects, John Moore and Michael Cashell in 1976, has delivered more than 1,000 projects throughout Australia, South East Asia and China in the growing global market of specialised pharmaceutical, medical laboratory and food technology design and facilities.

John Moore of Moore+Cashell said the company was excited about the merger with GroupGSA as it allowed the company to pursue greater opportunities in the Asia-Pacific region. “Having completed the $300 million Beijing University Innovation Centre which comprised 50,000 sqm including 35,000 sqm of specialist laboratory space, our interest in merging with GroupGSA was to further leverage large-scale projects in Asia such as this,” Moore said.

Moore+Cashell delivered the Baxter Healthcare Perth Pharmacy project.John Holland, a Registered Landscape Architect (AILA), now leads GroupGSA’s landscape architecture division and has particular expertise in residential masterplanning and design. He also brings expertise in water sensitive urban design and infrastructure applied over many years of multi-disciplinary experience in Australia, the UK and China.

Sheldon said the merger with John Holland Landscape Architects allows GroupGSA to operate more efficiently on projects requiring specialist masterplanning, urban design and landscape architecture.
