One of the major highlights of the upcoming R+T 2015 exhibition in
Stuttgart is a special conference on building facades featuring leading
architects of the world.
The FAÇADES 2015 Congress is being organised as part of an event series
‘The Art of Planning’, where world-renowned architects, engineers and
researchers will present the latest developments, pioneering projects and
experiments relating to current and future façades.
Star architects including Kim Herforth Nielsen (3XN), Volker Staab
(Staab Architekten), Matthias Schuler (Transsolar), Manuelle Gautrand (Manuelle
Gautrand Architecture), Oliver Thill (Atelier Kempe Thill), Martin Rauch (Lehm
Ton Erde), Daniel Pfanner (Bollinger+Grohmann) and Henk Jonkers (Delft Technical
University) will share different perspectives on building facades at the international
event.
Matthias Schuler (transsolar) will present some of the most important developments
and trends in the area of façades; Kim Herforth Nielsen from the multi-award
winning Danish architects' office 3XN will provide insights into his design
world; and the Berlin-based façade specialist Volker Staab will discuss his
requirements relating to contemporary building shells.
Presentations will also be made by participating experts on exemplary
designs and implementations of innovative façade architecture; and the latest
research results in the areas of technology and materials that are continuously
extending the scope of façade design.
Jointly staged by Messe Stuttgart and Baunetz, the FAÇADES 2015 Congress
will be held on Thursday, 26 February 2015, 10am – 2.30pm at the ICS
International Congress Center in Stuttgart.
