World-leading designer concrete brand, IVANKA was honoured at the Dulux Let’s Colour Award ceremony recently for its FLASTER product, which won in the ‘Colour Innovation in Technology and Design’ category. Katalin Ivanka, founder of IVANKA received the award from Hilary Alexander, one of the world’s five most notable fashion critics.
FLASTER, the award-winning product is a colourful premium concrete covering from IVANKA, an innovative design studio and factory, which uses concrete as the primary material for creative expression.
Jimmy MacDonald, founder of TENT London and judge of the ‘Colour Innovation in Technology and Design' category said he was really impressed with IVANKA’s level of innovation to re-imagine a very practical product into a thing of beauty. This award category was also judged by Karen Haller, a leading international authority in the field of applied colour psychology, and Jack Tomlin, contributor of Gizmodo UK.
IVANKA’s award-winning product, FLASTER is a colourful premium concrete covering made from fibre reinforced high performance IVANKA concrete, with the tiles available for both exterior and interior usage. The contemporary use of the material, the custom colour of the product and the variation of small and large modules give endless possibilities for the user to create a unique surface.
FLASTER from IVANKA can be seen on notable buildings such as Liberty London, Generator Hostel in Barcelona or MGM Grand Las Vegas.
FLASTER was also nominated in the Elle Decoration International Design Awards in the ‘Flooring of the Year 2010’ category, and was recently featured in Design Days Dubai 2014.
