New Kaeser Mobilair portable compressors for smaller air requirements
Kaeser Compressors has introduced its latest range of portable compressors designed for powerful, quiet and efficient performance.Kaeser Compressors has introduced its latest range of portable compressors designed for powerful, quiet and efficient performance.
Kaeser’s new M 13 and M 17 Mobilair portable compressors are compact in design and meet the needs of users with smaller air requirements. Part of the proven Mobilair range of portable compressors from Kaeser, the new M 13 and M 17 models are ideal for powering breakers, drills, saws, grinders and impact wrenches with free air delivery from just 0.85m³. These compressors are particularly suited for powering horizontal impact borers found in the construction industry.
Key features of the new Mobilair portable compressors include air-cooled, 4-stroke Honda petrol engine driving the screw compressor unit via a maintenance-free V-belt drive system; generous 20-litre capacity fuel tank enabling uninterrupted operation during long work shifts and eliminating the need for frequent refuelling; continuous air delivery control system precisely matching compressor performance to suit actual compressed air demand, further reducing fuel consumption; and innovative corrosion- and scratch-resistant sound enclosure made from rotation-sintered polyethylene to guarantee exceptionally low sound levels.
The compact and lightweight Kaeser compressors can be easily transported in any delivery vehicle, or on the loading floor of a truck. The compressor can also be equipped with an external compressed air after-cooler for applications that may require cool and condensate-free compressed air. The after-cooler is installed in a frame equipped with fixed connections for compressed air, condensate return and electrical power (12 V supply from compressor) to drive the after-cooler fan. Accumulating condensate is vaporised by the hot engine exhaust.
Handling and maintenance have been simplified in the Mobilair M 13 and M 17 portable compressors from Kaeser. Manoeuvrability is made simple thanks to the long handle, rugged wheels with pneumatic tyres, four convenient lifting-lugs and a counter-sunk crane eye, while maintenance is easily carried out with the wide-opening sound enclosure enabling excellent component accessibility.
Manufactured at Kaeser’s state-of-the-art production facility located in Coburg, Germany, the Mobilair M 13 and M 17 are available with a 15.5 kW drive motor, standard working pressures from 7 to 15 bar, and free air deliveries from 0.85 to 1.6 m³/min.
