Furniture designers Lisa Vincitorio and Laelie Berzon are making their
mark on the Australian design landscape with their intelligent range of
adaptable and customisable furniture.
Founders and directors of Melbourne-based Something Beginning With (SBW),
the designer duo offer a collaborative service with a point of difference,
combining Berzon’s background as a visual artist with Vincitorio’s experience as
an industrial designer to position themselves at the forefront of interior
trends.
SBW works with a diverse client base across residential, retail,
hospitality and workspace projects, assisting in the selection of adaptable new
furniture that can meld into an existing space or allow the client to create an
individual statement through customisation. Clients can either choose to
customise their furniture from the current SBW collection, or have a complete bespoke
furniture collection designed from concept to suit their specific requirements and
preferences.
Furniture in the Something Beginning With collection is according to the
designers, ‘open to interpretation without any limitations’. The designers work
directly with manufacturers within a Melbourne-based manufacturing network,
ensuring SBW customers have access to furniture from existing ranges that can
be adapted to their choice of colour, finish, size or specs. SBW is able to design,
customise, craft and deliver high quality Australian furniture to clients at a
competitive price in an attractive 4-6 week window.
SBW’s furniture range includes side, coffee, dining and bar tables; stools,
chairs, easy chairs and ottomans; and rugs and storage, all designed to
coordinate and work well together.
