Uniden announces the release of Guardian AppCam series HD surveillance
cameras designed to deliver peace of mind to security-conscious home and small
business owners.
Uniden’s Guardian AppCam series is one of the first genuine plug-and-play
internet enabled surveillance cameras combining affordability, HD video quality
and ease of use without the time-consuming complicated installations otherwise involved
in internet protocol cameras.
Simple to set up for instant use, Uniden AppCams are ideal for
monitoring both the inside and outside of properties. The Uniden Guardian
AppCam enables users to plug and play a camera when connected wirelessly via a
Wi-Fi connection using a free downloadable app for iOS and Android smartphones
and tablets. The app, available through the Apple iTunes and Google Play stores,
also allows users to record and watch files remotely from a smartphone or
tablet device.
Part of Uniden’s popular DIY Guardian wireless surveillance series, the
AppCam range consists of two standalone HD surveillance cameras; the
weatherproof AppCam 25 for outdoor use, and the indoor AppCam 26, together offer
tailored solutions for monitoring interior and exterior areas of residential
dwellings and small businesses.
Setting up the surveillance system is as simple as connecting the
standalone AppCam camera directly to a smartphone or tablet via a Wi-Fi network
for round-the-clock access to footage from virtually any location. The new
AppCam series records footage in HD 720p high quality video and still images, which
can be stored via a micro SD card slot. Ultra-night vision with infrared LEDs
on the camera lens ensures clear footage, even in dim lighting.
The AppCam 26 camera has a walkie-talkie function, allowing users to
communicate through the indoor camera and the Guardian app using their
smartphone or tablet. The pan and tilt function in this model also allows users
to view wider areas and control the camera wirelessly using the free app and a smartphone
or tablet.
