The Property Industry Foundation (PIF) will host the 2015 Annual Charity
Yachting Regatta to help raise funds for homeless young people living on the
streets.
To be held on 13 March, 2015, the fundraising event is sponsored by
Colliers International and will be hosted at the Middle Harbour Yacht Club in
Mosman. The 2015 drive aims to exceed last year’s fundraising collection of
$430,000, which will go towards the PIF House Program, an initiative whereby a
home is constructed by PIF to accommodate up to ten homeless young people
looking to make positive changes to their lives.
The Regatta event has already attracted registrations from 50
participants.
Rosemary Smithson, National Chief Executive Officer of PIF explains that
the Regatta enables the property industry to get together and raise funds for a
much needed cause. The 2015 event will see over 100 yachts in competition and
is expected to involve around 2,000 people from within the industry.
A ‘haunted Tiki Island’ themed beach party will be held at Middle
Harbour Yacht Club after the race.
