R+T, the leading world trade fair for roller shutters, doors/gates and
sun protection systems will be held in Stuttgart from 24 to 28 February 2015.
R+T 2015 will address current concerns regarding energy efficiency in
buildings and will present prospects for sustainable development of
architecture-related elements through the accompanying programme featuring numerous
shows, forums and congresses with content specially geared towards architects
and planners to provide interesting insights into the latest developments and
trends in the roller shutter, door/gate and sun protection industry.
The Art of Planning –
Architects’ Congress
The event series ‘The Art of Planning’ will feature the International
Façade Congress ‘Façades 2015’ concurrently with R+T. Renowned architects,
engineers and researchers will present developments, pioneering projects and
experiments for the façades of today and tomorrow in the ICS International
Congress Center, Stuttgart on 26 February 2015. Focussing on new technologies
and materials that extend the scope of façades, the event will include keynote
reports and talks by Volker Staab (Staab Architects), Matthias Schuler (Transsolar)
and Manuelle Gautrand (Manuelle Gautrand Architecture). The Congress is being
initiated in cooperation with BauNetz and sponsored by ROMA and Hunter Douglas.
The GID Day – Trend barometer
for interior rooms
The German Interior Designers' Day 2015, GID Day for short, will make
R+T 2015 the hub of the German architectural debate on the interior of the
built room. Architects, interior architects, interior designers and a large
number of planning, practical and research experts are invited to come to the
Stuttgart trade fair grounds on 27 February 2015 to discuss the latest
developments in architectural interior rooms and the future of interior design.
High-ranking speakers during the Congress will include Sou Fujimoto, Enrique
Sobejano, Jan Kleihues, J. Mayer H. and Tracy Pepe. The German Interior
Designers’ Day will be staged in cooperation with the Baden-Württemberg Chamber
of Architects and the Congress will be curated by Dr.-Ing. Dietmar Danner.

the media partner.
R+T 2015 with new attractive
programmes
In addition to the GID Day, the Gentner Forum ‘The networked building’
will also première at R+T 2015 on 26 February 2015, providing deep insights
into the complex topic of building control and automation. This will include
the individual components for efficient use and monitoring of a smart home, as
well as information on the best possible combination of elements from the point
of view of the planner. The accompanying programme will also include the
planners’ meeting for the real estate industry; the guided tour of important
trade fair innovations, which will be held on the same day, is designed
especially for planners and architects from the real estate industry and for
building energy consultants.
R+T Innovation Prize
A permanent fixture in the accompanying programme of the leading world
trade fair for roller shutters, doors/gates and sun protection, the R+T
Innovation Prize honours innovative and pioneering products in nine categories.
Innovations will be recognised and honoured in categories including roller
shutters, awnings, gathering blinds, internal sun protection systems, technical
textiles, doors/gates and special solutions through to drives and control
systems. Special prizes will be awarded for design, energy efficiency,
craftsmanship and talented young craftsmen. The Innovation Prize will be
awarded for the ninth time by Messe Stuttgart, the Federal Association for
Manufacturers of Roller Shutters and Sun Protection (BVRS), the National
Federation of Door and Gate Manufacturers (BVT), and the Industrial Association
of Technical Textiles, Roller Shutters and Sun Protection (ITRS). The award
ceremony will take place one day before the start of the trade fair on 23
February 2015.
R+T 2015 – Accompanying
programme
The special show of ift Rosenheim ‘More than light and shade!’ will explore
the requirements relating to the comfort, energy efficiency and security of sun
protection systems, anti-dazzle protection systems, daylight systems, doors and
gates. Using products from leading manufacturers, the special show of ift
Rosenheim on Stand 9B52 in Alfred Kärcher Hall (Hall 9) will present all
relevant technical parameters as well as the scientific, normative and legal
requirements.
The programme will be supplemented by the ES-SO Workshop (in English) on
26 February 2015, which will also focus on the topic of sun protection and
energy efficiency. Keynote speakers from the Federal Association for
Manufacturers of Roller Shutters and Sun Protection (BVRS) will chair
corresponding technical seminars during this session.
The R+T International Forum on 25 February 2015 will provide an overview
of the activities of R+T outside Germany. Industry experts and international
professional associations will present the satellite trade fairs of R+T and the
respective foreign market, and will be available to answer questions from
interested exhibitors.
The special show ‘Young Talents 2015’ will show visitors to R+T selected
pieces of work from talented young craftsmen.
