Entry to the 2013 Intergrain Timber Vision Awards is now open for architects, landscape architects, interior designers and other design professionals from across the nation to showcase their visionary use of timber.

Now in its fourth year, the Intergrain Timber Vision Awards organised by Intergrain Timber Finishes are designed to celebrate the innovative use of timber in residential and commercial projects. This year’s categories include Exterior Residential, Interior Residential, Exterior Commercial and Interior Commercial.

According to Intergrain Brand Manager, Krystal Brabham, the Intergrain Timber Vision Awards aim to highlight the great work of industry professionals in pushing the boundaries of timber design.

Brabham explains that the awards continue to build each year with outstanding entries across all four categories. The last edition featured entries showcasing striking and unique timber applications. This year’s awards will focus on projects that move away from traditional timber applications, exuding creativity and style, while demonstrating the significant role timber plays in architectural design.

The entries will be evaluated by a prestigious judging panel including 2012 Commercial Exterior winner - Hamish Lyon, Principal and Design Director at NH Architecture (VIC); Virginia Kerridge, Principal of Virginia Kerridge Architect (NSW); Cameron Bruhn, Editorial Director at Architecture Media (VIC) and Douglas Curr, Dulux Specification & Project Services Consultant.

Winners will receive a $2,000 cash prize plus Intergrain product to the value of $5,000, while also gaining industry exposure with a feature in the November edition of Architecture Australia.

Entries open on Tuesday 2 April and close on Friday 28 June. The winners will be announced in August at the Intergrain Timber Vision Awards Breakfast to be held in Melbourne.
