Australian architectural practice BVN Donovan Hill has announced that Neil Logan is its newest principal architect.

Logan graduated from the Edinburgh College of Art in 1998, and has since built a successful portfolio of major, large-scale building projects spanning both England and Australia. For instance, one of his earliest projects was the Central Nottinghamshire Modernisation of Acute Services, which had a budget of 300 million pounds.

In 2008, Logan migrated to Australia and joined what was then BVN Architecture as Senior Practice Director.

His most recent project is the recently-completed $900 million Royal North Shore Hospital Redevelopment, where as Project Director, he oversaw a large team of architects to deliver a building that contains 5,000 rooms.

“What I have always enjoyed about the large and complex projects is the people side of things,” says Logan.

“It’s what comes out of the cauldron of activity that is generated out of putting a big team of people together, that I find really exciting.”

Logan is currently working on the Campbelltown Hospital Redevelopment and will deliver a new Acute Hospital by the end of 2014.

National Director of BVN Donovan Hill James Grose congratulates Logan, and says that his architectural experience and skill, particularly in major projects for the health sector, will add further depth to the innovative culture being developed by the firm.
