The team behind Melbourne’s Nightingale 1.0 apartment development are requesting the public join them at Moreland City Council on 24 February as they try once again to have the triple bottom-line project approved.
Breathe Architecture’s new planning application for Nightingale 1.0 (6 Florence Street Brunswick) will face the vote of Moreland Council’s Urban Planning Committee once again after their former approval was revoked by the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) because the project didn’t have any carparking.
Nightingale 1.0 received unanimous support from the Council almost exactly a year ago in its current form, however this time around Council planning officers are asking for changes to the original application.
Now the team at Nightingale, which includes Breathe, Austin Maynard Architects, Clare Cousins Architects, Wolveridge Architects, Six Degrees, Architecture Architecture, MRTN Architects, Hip V Hype and the Robyn Boyd Foundation, are calling on the public to show up at the Council meeting on Wednesday 24 February to show support for the original application.
The team will also be hosting a small function afterwards at The Nightingale Warehouse, 6 Florence Street Brunswick. It’s free to attend and all are welcome, they only ask that you RSVP here so they can cater for food and beverages.
