The Overall Winner in the 2009 BPN Sustainability Awards, The Melbourne Convention Centre by Woods Bagot and NH Architecture.Now in its fourth year, the BPN Sustainability Awards continue to reward designers and builders for best practice in sustainable projects across Australia.

The Awards were created to support ESD initiatives and recognise companies who are striving to create a more sustainable environment.

In 2009, a record number of submissions were received, with the focus on sustainable building continuing to grow as issues like climate change gain further importance.

Categories in the 2010 awards programme include:

• Single Dwelling (New)

• Single Dwelling (Alteration or Extension)

• Multi Density Residential

• Small Commercial

• Large Commercial

• Office Fitout

• Public Building & Urban Design

• Landscape Design

• Innovation of the Year

• Best of the Best

Projects must have been completed in the period January 1, 2009 to June 30, 2010. Products or services being entered in the Innovation of the Year category must have been launched in the same period.

Finalists will be announced in the September issue of BPN. Winners will be announced at a gala presentation in Sydney October 13, 2010, with winners and highly commended published in the December issue of BPN.
