New ACIF publication on increasing productivity, safety and sustainability
Australian Construction Industry Forum Executive Director Peter Barda has announced his retirement from the top position after eight productive years with the organisation.
Peter’s tenure as Executive Director of ACIF is the most recent in his leadership roles in the building and construction industry in Australia. Beginning his career as a construction lawyer, he went on to become CEO of the Building Industry Specialist Contractors Organisation of Australia, the Property Council of Australia, the Commonwealth Government Construction Industry Development Agency, and the Master Builders Association of NSW.
As ACIF Executive Director, Peter played a key role in establishing several important working relationships that will see continuing development and growth of the industry, including the alliance with government counterpart Australasian Construction and Procurement Council. Joint projects between the two organisations include the development of a suite of resources to improve productivity through greater collaboration and innovation in project management.
ACIF Chair Ian Pedersen thanked Peter on behalf of the ACIF Board for his dedication and excellent leadership of the organisation.
The ACIF Board is now inviting expressions of interest from suitably experienced industry professionals, to lead the organisation into its next period of development.
