SJB Architects are celebrating 38 years in practice by announcing eight new Associate appointments for their practices in Sydney and Melbourne.
The five newly appointed Associates in Sydney are Georgia Hickey, Klaude Lania, Joe Loh, Marcus Lewin and Jonathan Tondi, and the three Associate appointments in Melbourne are Beau Fulwood, Dan Weekes and Tristan Wong.
Michael Bialek, Director, SJB Architects said the firm is confident that the young, dynamic individuals will continue to play a significant role in building on the reputation and brand of SJB.
Joseph Loh, Associate, SJB Architects NSW
A Masters of Architecture from the University of Technology, Sydney, Joe joined SJB in 2010, and has played an integral role in the design and delivery of boutique multi-unit residential apartments such as Casba, 17 Danks and Motif. He is currently working on a mixed-use project comprising of 650 residential apartments and 1,900sqm of retail floor space.
Marcus Lewin, Associate, SJB Architects NSW
Having completed a Bachelor of Design and a Masters of Architecture at Sydney University, Marcus joined SJB in 2010. Marcus specialises in the design and delivery of complex, large scale, multiple stakeholder projects that require an in-depth understanding of planning frameworks.
Klaude Lania, Associate, SJB Architects NSW
Having obtained a Masters of Architecture at the University of Technology, Sydney, Klaude joined SJB in 2008. Klaude recently completed the design and construction of 212 residential apartments in Rhodes and is currently working on the Bridgehill Residences, Milsons Point.
Jonathan Tondi, Associate, SJB Architects NSW
Jonathan joined SJB as a student in 2006 and received a Masters of Architecture from the University of Technology, Sydney in 2010. Jonathan specialises in high density multi-unit residential project delivery encompassing all stages of detail design co-ordination through to site construction phase.
Georgia Hickey, Associate, SJB Interiors NSW
Georgia studied Interior Architecture at the University of New South Wales and began her career working on large scale commercial projects in Sydney. After joining SJB in 2011, her focus shifted to hospitality, residential and boutique commercial projects.
Beau Fulwood, Associate, SJB Architects VIC
Beau completed the Master of Architecture program at the University of Melbourne in 2010. Joining the SJB team in 2011, Beau has worked on multi-unit residential, mixed use, bespoke homes and recreational/leisure projects across all phases of delivery from feasibility and design to construction.
Dan Weekes, Associate, SJB Architects VIC
Originally from the UK, Dan joined SJB in 2010. Primarily involved with the delivery of large multi-unit residential developments, he has proven himself as an accomplished project leader on complex projects by ensuring that the design and construction teams continue to work collaboratively.
Tristan Wong, Associate, SJB Architects VIC
Tristan graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2006 with First Class Honours in Bachelor of Architecture. In 2011 Tristan joined SJB, with a strong interest in design and project initiation. Identifying design opportunities and responding with creative solutions are a few of his strong points, which have been the hallmark of his contribution to SJB over the last few years.
