INSIDE – World Festival of Interiors has entered the final month of preparations before it officially launches on 2 October at the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore.

A total of 22 design professionals will give speeches on their profession and conduct Q&A sessions with the audience. Speakers for this year’s event include the world-renowned interior designer Nigel Coates, transport designer Paul Priestman, and installation designer Jason Bruges.

Sean Barrington, Cheryl Durst, Marcus Fairs, Wendy Fok, Jeanne Gang, Nicholas Henchoz, Martin Joos, Tim Kobe, Lyndon Neri, Pernilla Ohrstedt, Loh Lik Peng, Layton Reid, Ryan Russell, Mille Silvest, Shawn Sullivan, Heleen van Gent, Rob Wagemans, Scott Walker, Lennard Wiechell and Paul Wiste will also be speaking.

During the Festival, 59 shortlisted designers from 25 categories will present their pitches live to the judging panel. This process gives them a chance to explain their designs, and why they should be crowned the winner of 2013’s Best Interior Design.

This year’s nominations include the Heydar Aliyev Centre by Zaha Hadid, an apartment in Barcelona by David Kohn, WOHA’s Park Royal on Pickering in Singapore, and the Google Japan Headquarters by Klein Dytham.

Now in its second year, INSIDE is a three-day event that runs from 2 to 4 October 2013, and the sister event to the World Architecture Festival. The overall winner will be announced on 4 October at a gala awards ceremony.

All of INSIDE’s 12 category winners will be invited to be a member of INSIDE’s international jury in 2014, and be featured in filmed interviews hosted by INSIDE’s digital partner Dezeen.
