The 2015 National Excellence in Building and Construction Awards have been announced by the Master Builders Australia (MBA), revealing some of the best architecturally designed buildings for 2015, delivered by Australia’s top builders.
Over 40 awards were handed out by the MBA at their annual National Conference on Saturday 14 November, ranging from small scale residential renovations to massive new commercial and public buildings.
Among the winners are a few familiar projects, seen throughout the year in the news and at the various architecture awards programs, including projects from JPW architects and Charles Wright Architect as well as the seemingly ubiquitous Dr Chau Chak Wing Building at University of Technology, Sydney by Frank Gehry.
Brookfield Multiplex and La Spina Homes took home the most prestige awards on the night - The National Commercial and National Residential Master Builder Of The Year prizes - Brookfield taking the commercial honour for their 50 Martin Place Redevelopment while La Spina grabbed the residential prize for delivering Charles Wright’s ‘The Edge’ residence in Cairns.
Projects by Hassell, Max Pritchard, Conrad Gargett and Shane Denman also feature on the list of winners which you can see in full below:
