Carr has announced the elevation of four new Associates which will begin a new chapter of their working lives as members of the practice’s leadership team.

The new Associates – which include Alan Hunt, Andrea Giuradei, Chris Eggleston and Marissa Kefalianos – will form part of Carr’s new leadership generation. Hunt, Giuradei and Eggleston have all contributed to Carr projects across a range of sectors, while Kefalianos will join the residential interior leadership team.

“The elevation of Alan Hunt, Andrea Giuradei, Chris Eggleston and Marissa Kefalianos marks an exciting expansion of our leadership team,” says Carr Managing Director Chris McCue.

“Each of these individuals brings immense talent, creativity and breadth of experience that further strengthens our expertise as a collective. I welcome their step into associate roles, and the unique perspectives and leadership capabilities they bring to the Carr team.”

Giuradei originally studied in Milan and cites the city as his major influence. Working as an architect, landscape designer and interior designer, the new Associate’s strength is his ability to deeply consider design outcomes.

“I believe every project should push us to reflect on how to design better. We should never be satisfied, there’s always a way to improve,” he says.

Alan Hunt’s expertise in crafting high-end multi-residential projects has resulted in outstanding design outcomes for the practice. His understanding of the intricacies of cities enables him and his teams to incorporate meaningful retail and hospitality offerings that elevate the experience of the residents and broader community alike.

“To me, a successful project is one where you deliver a product you’re proud of, and where all stakeholders come away happy and wanting to work together again – this is something I strive for on every project,” Hunt says.

As an architect, Chris Eggleston thrives at spatial planning and problem solving where he finds the transition from problem to solution incredibly fulfilling.

“The architecture process to me is a fascinating giant jigsaw puzzle, where I look to weave in wonder and joy to enrich the end user’s experience,” explains Eggleston.

Marissa Kefalianos joins Carr as an esteemed interior designer who strikes a balance between the practice’s design ethos and client expectations. She says thoughtful and careful consideration is key to creating high-end, timeless end products.

“Every project presents a unique opportunity for us as designers to create spaces that elevate the human experience.”
