Frasers Property Limited and its Australian offshoot have announced a number of promotions and appointments effective February 1, involving local executives Anthony Boyd, Cameron Leggatt, Emily Wood and John Dawson (pictured above left to right).
Boyd has been promoted to Group Chief Operating Officer of the developer’s global operation, while Leggatt will succeed Boyd as Frasers Property Australia’s new CEO. Emily Wood has been appointed as the new Executive General Manager Development, the role vacated by Leggatt to be supported by John Dawson, who takes on the new role of General Manager – National Operations, reporting to Wood.
The appointments are part of a wider company restructure, which aims to enhance Group synergies and business resilience. Boyd will now work alongside Group Chief Executive Officer Panote Sirivadhanabhakdi, tasked with working to execute the Group’s strategy.
“There are many opportunities in front of us as a global business and we have the scale, depth of expertise and strong platforms within our various business units to harness and capitalise on these opportunities,” Boyd says.
“I’m looking forward to working more closely with Panote and other members of the senior leadership team to drive our strategy and create efficiencies throughout the business. I’m also very proud that the depth of talent in our Australian team and our succession planning provides such opportunities and pathways for our people.”
Leggatt’s 13 years as Executive General Manager Development puts him in good stead to oversee the Australian operation.
“It is an honour to take on the role of CEO of a business with such a long and proud history in Australia, which celebrates its centenary this year,” says Leggatt.
“Amid the broader challenges of the current operating environment, our focus will be to execute our customer focused strategy and deliver high quality communities for Australians. We will also look to continue to improve project outcomes and grow the business prudently whilst continuing to expand the involvement of joint venture and capital partners.
“We have a busy year ahead and the best possible team to deliver for our customers.”
Emily Wood will celebrate a decade at Frasers Property in her new role as Executive General Manager Development. Working across the property industry at the likes of Lendlease and Henley, she is well equipped for her new challenge.
“In recent years we have worked hard on our branding strategy of creating smarter, happier neighbourhoods that promote connection and wellness,” Cameron Leggatt says.
“We’ve instilled these values in our people and Emily’s appointment to lead the national development team creates the opportunity for us to embed our brand values throughout the projects and communities we create. John’s deep experience in project delivery, structuring and new acquisitions will be important as this strategy rolls out.”
