Naomi Mackenzie will lead Gray Puksand (GP) into a new era following her recent appointment as General Manager.
Mackenzie’s appointment follows Nik Tabain’s promotion to the role of National Managing Partner in September. Her 20 years of experience mainly lies in health and retail, holding operational roles at Bupa and Boost Juice Bars, with her expertise to do with delivering value add solutions, increasing revenue growth, and leading and implementing change.
Work culture will be a top priority for Mackenzie, following GP’s decision to foster interstate collaboration and digital technology to connect studios amidst the pandemic.
“I look forward to working alongside Nik Tabain driving strategy delivery and supporting the day-to-day operations of Gray Puksand to contribute to the business’ national growth aspirations,” Mackenzie says.
“Unlike other industries, architectural design has a certain creative process that requires our teams to work both collaboratively and independently depending on the stage of the project.
“The pandemic has allowed us to remove some barriers relating to working on interstate projects by encouraging cross-collaboration and allowing better opportunities to engage our specialist expertise at a national level.
“Our highly digital approach ensures better outcomes for our clients as we create a balance between studios. We are also encouraging some flexible ways of working for staff with families to meet the demands of both their personal and work lives.”
National Managing Partner Nik Tabain says he is delighted to welcome Mackenzie to the practice’s leadership team/
“Naomi brings a wealth of valuable experience to the practice. It will be a pleasure to share her expertise with colleagues and clients to strengthen Gray Puksand’s business processes alongside an incredible team,” he says.
“Appointing Naomi as General Manager of the business was a decision that aligns with our efforts to expand our growth and investment in the health sector. With a background in health and retail work, Naomi’s leadership and expertise will further contribute to Gray Puksand’s growing influence in this field.”
Mackenzie has now been in the job for a month, with the practice of the belief that she will make a seamless transition into her new role.
