The Property Council of Australia has appointed Katie Stevenson as its New South Wales Executive Director.

Stevenson joins the Property Council after serving five years as the Chief of Staff to former NSW Minister the Hon. Rob Stokes MP, working across the portfolios of education, planning and public spaces, transport and roads, infrastructure, cities, and active transport.

Prior to her Chief of Staff role Stevenson worked as a policy team leader and specialist urban designer at the Department of Planning. She has also previously worked as an urban designer at Cititek in Copenhagen, and in planning at Leichhardt, Burwood and Sutherland Shire Councils.

Property Council Chief Executive Mike Zorbas says, “Katie’s strategic experience across all levels of government, together with her deep knowledge of planning means she will be an advocate of integrity and credibility.”

Stevenson says it was an honour to be stepping into the role.

“I am delighted to lead the NSW Division of the Property Council and to continue its long history of delivering thoughtful policy, considered advocacy, and strong representation for its members,” Stevenson says.

Stevenson will commence in the role on 26 June 2023.
