NH Architecture has announced that Emily Kilvington rejoined the practice as a Director, an appointment it describes as pivotal to enhancing its “evidence-based and design-led” outcomes.
Formerly a Principal at NH before a three-year stint at Wardle, Kilvington has been directly involved in the design and delivery of key NH projects including Melbourne Park and Arts Centre Melbourne.
NH Managing Director Felicity Douglas says Kilvington will play a key role in the direction and delivery of projects within the practice upon her return.
“It’s an exciting time for NH Architecture, we’re in our 20th year of practice and we’re continuing to build on our reputation as problem solvers, growing our experience in delivering in the housing and health sectors alongside the work we’re well known for such as large-scale urban renewal, retail and mixed use,” she says.
“We’ve also been privileged enough to work on restoring and revitalising some of Melbourne’s legacy buildings at Queen Victoria Market and Arts Centre Melbourne. We are looking forward to the future with Emily’s exemplary leadership as part of our Directorship.”
Kilvington is highly regarded by the practice for her open style of communication, which allows her to foster energy and engagement within a project team. Working closely alongside clients and stakeholders, the design process for Kilvington-led projects are smooth and seamless.
“I find the outcome of the design process rewarding, but the process is just as enjoyable for me,” she says.
“I enjoy the collaborative element of working on complex projects like these which require you to be agile and to think on your feet, there are a lot of moving parts.”
Kilvington joins Directors Felicity Douglas, Nick Bourns, Astrid Jenkin and Hamish Lyon.
