Studio Nine Architects announces the appointment of Nazeem Jummun as their new BIM manager.

With a career marked by a deep understanding of BIM and its transformative potential in the architectural industry, Jummun brings an impressive skillset and extensive experience leading BIM initiatives to his new role at Studio Nine Architects, significantly enhancing the studio’s project delivery and technological capabilities.

He previously served as the BIM leader at Adelaide’s JPE Design Studio, where he was instrumental in implementing BIM modelling and coordination across all projects including Wingfold Tower, Westminster Sports Pavilion, and the Adelaide Aquatic Centre Development in partnership with Warren & Mahoney. As a Registered Architect, he is also an Autodesk Revit Certified Professional and ISO 19650 Certified Information Management Practitioner.

Jummun is passionate about the integration of emerging technologies such as AI in architecture and design, which he believes will significantly enhance capabilities and transform architectural workflows and decision-making processes.

Born in Mauritius and studying architecture in the former Soviet Union, he began his career as one of the first users of AutoCAD at his university. After years of running a successful architectural practice in Mauritius, he moved to Australia in 2001.

Joining Studio Nine Architects in April this year, Jummun is already making a real impact by introducing new tools and practices to improve efficiency, enhance workflow and reduce manual inputs. His efforts in upskilling the team will ensure the studio remains at the forefront of BIM innovation. His contributions are set to play a crucial role in shaping future project delivery and technological integration to drive the firm’s success in the competitive architectural landscape.
