Carr announces a series of team elevations to further expand the next generation of leaders at the studio. While Lucy Cuthbertson has been appointed as practice manager, Kenneth Wong and Ashleigh Ward are promoted to associate at the firm.

Lucy Cuthbertson, who first joined Carr as part of the architecture team 10 years ago, works across a diverse range of projects from bespoke residential homes through to larger-scale multi-residential developments.

Now as practice manager, she oversees the smooth operations between leadership, business and design teams. Assisting with change management within the studio, she will be taking the lead in Carr’s move to 116 Rokeby later in the year.

“I am looking forward to Carr’s next chapter as we embark on the studio’s continued commitment to delivering considered and timeless spaces with integrity,” shares Cuthbertson.

APEC registered architect Kenneth Wong, who has over a decade of architectural practice across Melbourne, Shanghai, New York and Singapore, has been promoted to associate. He is highly proficient in his communication with clients and consultants while achieving project aspirations from both a design and commercial perspective.

“I enjoy bringing an energy to each collaboration, where new territories are explored on a project through creative, technical and strategic contributions,” says Wong.

Also promoted into the leadership team is interior designer Ashleigh Ward, who brings an established portfolio of end-to-end project involvement across commercial and hospitality endeavours to her new role as associate. She has developed a strong sensibility for crafting commercially viable and thoughtful workplaces that present an intuitive and harmonious aesthetic.

“I seek to inspire confidence within the team to be generous with their ideas and embrace their learnings, rather than being afraid of them. This is the foundation for realising original and long-lasting built outcomes,” shares Ward.

On the promotions, CEO Nick Carr says, “The elevation of Lucy, Kenneth and Ashleigh marks an exciting expansion of our leadership team, supporting and achieving excellence across a diverse portfolio of projects. Each of their expertise across architecture and interior design truly echoes Carr’s philosophy for innovative, enduring and timeless design.”
