Warren and Mahoney has announced that Kate Roach (pictured top left) will bolster its Melbourne studio, joining the practice as a Principal.

Roach will combine her local and international expertise to assist in the delivery of a number of residential, hotel and hospitality projects. Working closely alongside her clientele, Roach is renowned for crafting outstanding design outcomes infused with innovative and functional elements.

The new Principal was formerly an Associate Partner with Foster and Partners in London, working on a number of interiors and architecture projects. She most recently founded her own practice, which has enhanced her reputation further, garnering accolades and recognition for a number of projects across North America, Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Australia.

Roach says she is excited to assist in leading the practice’s future approach to design.

"I am truly excited to join Warren and Mahoney, as a design practice renowned for its design excellence and commitment to innovation,” she says.

“Throughout my career, I have been driven by a simple yet refined aesthetic. I believe in creating spaces that enhance the lives of those who experience them. I’m particularly looking forward to working, once again, with a team to enable me to take on ambitious and progressive projects".

Roach will work alongside fellow Melbourne-based Principal Nick Deans (pictured top right), who has crafted much of Warren and Mahoney’s reputation via its residential projects.

"Kate is a remarkable talent whose passion for design is contagious," Deans says.

"Her extensive experience in both interior design and architecture, coupled with her international exposure, makes her an invaluable asset to Warren and Mahoney. Importantly, she also brings strong leadership skills having managed large projects and teams.”

The practice says it is delighted to welcome Roach to the practice, of the belief that the appointment reflects their ambition to drive better and more integrated architecture and interior design outcomes for their clients.
