Gray Puksand has confirmed the practice’s current National Commercial Sector Leader, Nik Tabain, has stepped into the role of National Managing Partner.

Effective since last week, Tabain will bring 30 years of architectural experience to the role. Specialising in the realm of commercial architecture, Tabain has been involved in the delivery of a number of Gray Puksand projects, namely  Botanica 3, numerous buildings at Nexus Corporate Park, 2 Ferntree Place and 631 Springvale Road.

“I’m proud to be leading the management of Gray Puksand as we continue our rapid national growth,” Tabain says.

We are committed to offering our clients innovative and dynamic design solutions guided by principles of experience-led design and sustainability, and I look forward to working with the exceptional teams across our four studios to deliver excellence at every opportunity.”

The practice’s Founding Partner, Robert Puksand, believes Tabain’s innate ability to deliver high-end projects, work closely alongside stakeholders and lead teams to a high output makes him a logical choice for the position.

“Nik has an impeccable understanding of business acumen, has forged strong relationships with clients, but most importantly embodies our People First value by truly caring for our staff and their future development.”

Tabain has succeeded current National Managing Partner Stephen Turner, who has been in the role for the last 15 months.  Throughout his time in the role, Turner oversaw the establishment of an updated company governance structure and the strategic growth of the Canberra office.

“The board thanks Stephen for his commitment and dedication to the role, and the astonishing work that has been achieved under his leadership,” Puksand continues.

Turner will transition to a Partner role at Gray Puksand in early 2024.
