Melbourne-based Technē Architecture + Interior Design, has announced the promotion of architect Sam Sempill to senior associate.
Part of the Technē team for over two years, and with more than 15 years’ experience, Sempill has worked across the residential, hospitality, commercial and education sectors.
Technē director Steve McKeag says he is pleased to be bolstering the leadership team with this promotion.
“Sam is a great fit with our culture, design ethos and the future direction of Technē. Her commitment in these unprecedented times as well as her energy and creative design excellence are assets which have been invaluable to us,” says McKeag.
“Sam is known for her professionalism, skill and structured leadership style. Her expert knowledge on heritage is regarded highly on the many revitalisation projects we undertake,” he says.
At Technē, she has worked on Richmond’s Amora Hotel redevelopment, CorePlus yoga and pilates studios, high-end residential homes along with many hospitality venues across the state.
Sempill also played a role in the practice’s Daydream collaboration for this year’s Melbourne Design Week that saw a portion of Technē’s studio transformed into a pop-up sensory escape.
