Hayball has announced that Richard Weinman has joined the practice as a Principal, which reflects the practice’s expansion into the housing, commercial, industrial and tourism sectors.

Weinman joins the practice with some 25 years of international and local architectural experience, overseeing an array of projects across the country, adapting his design and management skillset across a number of architectural typologies.

“Richard brings significant skills to Hayball’s leadership team. As a renowned architect, practice leader and consultant, his knowledge and leadership qualities establish a clear and decisive direction for elevating business development and project winning strategies,” say Hayball Co-Managing Directors, Sarah Buckeridge and Tom Jordan.

“We’re always looking to develop our capabilities and foster a culture of enquiry. His belief in the value of informed design to support businesses and transform organisations is paramount to our mission. As markets continue to change, we will drive focus and influence in the built environment to continually pursue design excellence and ensure the highest quality of service for our clients.”

Weinman says he has always held a deep appreciation for Hayball’s projects and looks forward to contributing to the practice’s pipeline.

“I look forward to contributing to the evolution of a design practice that I’ve long admired for the quality of their built work and the strength of their office culture and leadership. I’m a believer in the power of imagination and having the courage to innovate,” he says.

“Evolving how we design is becoming increasingly essential to keep up with the rapid social and commercial transformations in our community.”

Weinman has led the delivery of award-winning projects across large scale multi-residential, commercial and mixed-use developments for clients such as Lend Lease, Frasers Property Group, Aqualand, Eco World, Homes Victoria and Setia.
