THE Ezirail is a versatile continuous timber handrail system designed and manufactured in Australia by Hammersmith Woodturners to cater for domestic, commercial and aged care applications.
The system comprises a range of 50 mm and 40 mm diameter straight rails and various angled bends that have been precision-machined and sanded, with ends pre-drilled for ease of joining so as to dramatically reduce the installation time normally associated with continuous handrail.
Available ex-stock in Victorian Ash and Pine, the natural timber gives a warm feel — unlike metal — and is attractive when finished clear or with wood stains.
When installed in accordance with Hammersmith installation instructions, the system will comply with AS1428.1 — 2001 Design for Access and Mobility, which is a necessity for installation in aged care facilities.
