AN integrated façade system that promises to set new standards for energy and resource-saving architecture has been launched in Australia by Alucobond Architectural.
Alucobond Photovoltaic combines Alucobond’s aluminium composite panels with functional photovoltaic modules that convert sunlight into electricity, enabling architects and designers to utilise building façades for sustainable energy generation.
The photovoltaic modules are mounted on the usual substructures and simply joined with prefabricated plug-in cables.
From urban housing projects and office buildings to shopping centres, parking blocks and airports, Alucobond Photovoltaic can be integrated into the most differing façade formations in a creative way.
