From the architect:

The Unity College Early Learning Centre in Murray Bridge is a thoughtfully designed facility that caters to the developmental needs of young children aged 2-5 years.

This centre features two expansive activity rooms, each capable of accommodating 38 children and offering a comprehensive Kindergarten program. The design priorities both functionality and aesthetics, providing a conductive environment for early learning.

The facility is methodically planned to meet the needs of the educators, with a dedicated staff area that includes a kitchenette, modern amenities, and an open workspace filled with natural light. The design ensures that staff can work efficiently and comfortable, enhancing their ability to support the children’s development.

Central to the facility is a well-equipped kitchen room, offering ample storage and preparation areas directly connected to the activity rooms. This layout streamlines daily routines, making meal preparation, feeding, and cleaning more efficient for the staff.

The indoor spaces are complemented by an engaging outdoor play area, featuring a bridge, boulders, a fountain, landscaped areas, and shade sails, fostering a stimulating and safe environment for play and exploration.

A covered timber verandah links all activity rooms to the outdoor spaces, creating a seamless flow between indoor and outdoor.
