Located on a corner site, The London offers views of Port Melbourne beach. The bayside context has inspired the design of the building, with clean lines, elegant steel detailing, expansive balconies a cornerstone of the development, while thoughtful planning has resulted in access to natural light, passive solar gain and framing of expansive coastal views.
Ewert Leaf sought to emanate the feeling of boutique hotels, with each touchpoint a visceral experience. Kitchens act as the heart of the home, while the main bedroom and ensuites are places to retreat.
Natural stone, terrazzo, brushed stainless steel and reeded glass craft a sophisticated, understated palette, while Port Melbourne’s strong tradition of craftsmanship is reinterpreted through a refined suite of bespoke interior details; fine, inset steel shelving, raised plinths, solid timber handles and mitred finger pulls.
