Modscape has collaborated with Mirvac to deliver a sales and marketing suite featuring an ellipsoid-shaped modular form and a bespoke curtain wall glazing system.
Situated on the southern banks of the Yarra River in Melbourne’s Docklands, the suite encapsulates the look and feel of Mirvac’s final instalment to its Yarra’s Edge community, Wharf’s Entrance.
The structure consists of four modular quadrants delivering 210sqm of space, with the interiors flowing between open-plan zones dedicated to 3D display models, simulated kitchen and bathroom areas, a multimedia room, a reception and staff amenities.
According to Modscape, metallic elements such as the copper-clad media room and folded plate steel entrance are blended with a grey palette of leather and stone within the reflective module to give reference to the residential aesthetic.
The inclusion of recycled wharf timber in the reception desk and external landscape totems also pays homage to the wharf and riverfront surrounds.
Modscape is a prefab design company based in Victoria that uses steel framed modules with structurally insulated panels to create their homes and buildings. They made headlines last year when they proposed a five-storey modular home that would cling off a cliff face.
