The new RE/Form carpet collection from Royal Thai takes inspiration from, and pays tribute to the work of legendary architect Zaha Hadid. Created in partnership with Zaha Hadid Design, the design arm of Zaha Hadid Architects, the new collection focuses on exhibitions, interiors, product, fashion and furniture.
Consisting of 22 patterns, each inspired by one of four themes that feature prominently in Zaha Hadid’s designs – organic cellular shapes, pixelated landscapes, ribbon-like projections and striated lines – this new collection of floor coverings is a celebration of the architect’s signature use of interweaving, layering and play with light and shadow. Cellular, Pixel, Ribbon and Striation form the RE/Form range.
RE/Form by Zaha Hadid introduces new as well as custom colours such as turquoise, red and green to the Royal Thai commercial carpets portfolio. Available in Axminster and hand-tufted designs, the new collection represents reconfiguration, metaphorical renewal and transformation, reflecting Royal Thai’s recent reformation.
The new RE/Form carpet collection is much more than the natural outcome of a creative collaboration with a design studio; it represents a celebration of Hadid’s legacy and Royal Thai’s passion for finding inspiration in everything.
