Sliding screens and louvres from Acculine Architectural Systems were installed at the Centvm Apartments in Preston, Victoria to address comfort, light and privacy issues in the building.
Designed by BBP Architects and built by Hickory Developments & Unitised Building for Bensons Property Group, the Centvm Apartments located at 86-106 Plenty Rd in Preston needed smart green solutions. The cleverly designed apartment project used solutions from Acculine to meet their design objectives visibly, efficiently and with style.
Products supplied by Acculine included Opal 100 sliding screens and pergola roof, Diamond DSG 403-60 carpark screens, and gas room louvres and louvered doors.
The use of Acculine systems lends class to the building with the glossy blue tiled exterior featuring sliding screens on each balcony, and fixed louvres installed on the outdoor entertainment areas. These designer louvres address seasonal temperature extremes by reflecting light and warmth away during summer and deep inside in winter. An important benefit of these screens is the ample privacy afforded to the building’s occupants in addition to the aesthetics.
Acculine’s Opal 100 series louvres have 2400mm spans and offer a choice of fixed or operable blades, as well as the flexibility to design visually matching yet variable shade solutions for different aspects of the building.
