Actron Air was recognised by the HVAC&R industry recently with the AIRAH
Award 2014 for Excellence in Sustainability. The AIRAH award recognises the
energy efficiency achievements of Actron Air’s ESP Platinum split ducted
technology.
Actron Air’s new managing director Norman Windell explained that ESP
Platinum was researched, developed, designed and manufactured at their Bella
Vista head office, specifically to deliver significant air conditioning power
savings to residential and light commercial operations. Optimising seasonal
energy efficiency was a major driver of the ESP Platinum’s design.
According to Mr Windell, the ESP Platinum is the most advanced ducted
air conditioner ever built in Australia and offers the lowest running costs in
its class. Testing and energy modelling reveal that the ESP Platinum series
uses up to 75 percent less electricity compared to conventional fixed speed
systems and up to 50 percent compared to conventional inverter systems. Users
can achieve savings of up to $900 per annum on energy bills (based on electricity
price of 24c per kW/H).
ESP Platinum ducted air conditioners incorporate
Actron Air’s proprietary Energy Smart Zoning as well as its latest Variable Fan
technology to deliver intuitive air flow control. It also has a wider capacity
range of 20 – 100 percent and delivers more precise temperature control with a
superior operating range of -15°C to +50°C.
