Architectural bricks from Adbri Masonry were selected by the architects
for the Pyalong Police Station in Central Victoria to achieve a truly contemporary
design.
The $750,000 police station project has been designed by JLM Architects to
create a modern and environmentally-sustainable building. Having used Adbri
bricks successfully for the Axedale Police Station, JLM chose Adbri Masonry once
again to supply over 15,000 architectural bricks in a variety of textures and
colours for the Pyalong Police Station.
A significant improvement on the old structure, which was built in 1972,
the new police station incorporates several environmentally-sustainable design
features aimed to reduce the station’s impact on the environment as well as running
costs.
Adbri Masonry’s Marketing Manager, Karl Wood commented that they were pleased
to be part of a noteworthy project that showcased the quality and aesthetic
appeal of their premium architectural bricks produced in their Bendigo
production facility.
